We love to make you feel at home.

Mike and Miriam Kondroski are the fifth generation of the family to be involved in hospitality in the area, going back to a great-great grandmother who ran a stagecoach stop in nearby Elizabethtown.

The beginning.
There's history here.
Elenore

"Sis" & Ted Hillman built and ran Hillman's "Stoneyland" cabins for decades. Ted started in the service business with his father's store and gas station, and loved to tell the stories of the men in black cars who would come down from Canada in the small hours of the night to pay cash to fill up the trucks (full of whiskey, perhaps, he didn't ask,) who would be following.

Ted loved the outdoors and was a friend of the famous "Adirondack Hermit," Noah Rondeau.

"Sis" was famous for making sure everything was just right for her guests, training many young people in the intricacies of "hospital corners" in the days before fitted sheets.

They were both active contributors to their community. Ted was an elected official on the town assessment board for over thirty years.

Loving nature and each other, in a marriage that lasted 68 years, they were true pioneers who embodied what it means to be an "Adirondacker."
